Free Audit · $0 · Five a day

Free AI website audit for San Diego small businesses

Type in your web address. About a minute later you get a graded report on whether your site turns visitors into calls, and what to fix first.

What it is

A Claude-graded audit of your site's ability to turn visitors into calls.

We fetch your real pages, pull out the signals that matter, and have Claude write a full report: an overall score out of 100, a six-category scorecard, five week-one fixes, detailed findings, and a 12-month plan.

What it costs

$0. No card, no call required.

You give us a web address, an email to send the report to, and your name. That's the whole price. If you want us to fix what it finds, that's a separate conversation you start, not us.

Who it's for

Owners who need the phone to ring.

Contractors and trades first, then clinics, shops, restaurants, gyms, salons and professional firms. The auditor is briefed to talk to an owner who is great at their trade and does not care about marketing theory.

Where

The audit runs on any public website.

Our services have a narrower range. Marketing: San Diego County. Custom builds: anywhere in the US, delivered remotely.

How long

Usually about a minute.

The grader reads your homepage plus up to three inside pages, then writes the report. It gives itself a little over two minutes before it quits rather than guess. Your score shows on this page and the full report lands in your inbox.

The honest limits

It grades what a crawler can see.

It reads your HTML the way a search bot does; it does not run your JavaScript. It cannot measure your rankings, your traffic, your backlinks or your reviews, and it is told never to make those numbers up. Capped at five audits a day, one per site, one per email.

The audit form loads here.

It needs JavaScript. If it never appears, email your web address to info@haymakermktg.com and we'll take it from there.

Methodology

What the audit grades

No black box. This is exactly what the grader reads, what it scores, and what it is forbidden to invent.

Step 1 · What it reads

Your homepage, plus up to three inside pages.

It fetches your homepage as a search bot would, then follows up to three same-site links whose address looks like an about, services, contact, pricing, work, gallery, reviews, team, booking or quote page. It reads the first 400 KB of each. Public sites only, HTML only.

Your page text never goes to the model as prose. It is boiled down to short, capped snippets with links and email addresses stripped out, plus counts.

Step 2 · The signals it pulls from each page

  • HTTPS or not
  • Page weight
  • Title tag
  • Meta description
  • H1 headings and how many
  • Mobile viewport tag
  • Tap-to-call links
  • A phone number visible in the text
  • Forms
  • Call-to-action phrases ("get a quote", "book now", "call us")
  • Social share image
  • Schema markup (JSON-LD)
  • Images, and how many have no alt text
  • Visible word count

Step 3 · The six categories it scores

  1. [01] Technical
  2. [02] On-Page
  3. [03] Content
  4. [04] Trust & Proof
  5. [05] Local SEO
  6. [06] Conversion & UX

Each category and the overall score run 0 to 100. The grader is calibrated so that an ordinary local business site lands between 40 and 60, below 30 means something is genuinely broken, and above 80 means you are already doing nearly everything right. It is told to give a high score when it is earned. The overall score is a judgement, not an average.

Step 4 · The rules it grades under

Evidence only. Nothing invented.

  • It grades only from the pages it fetched.
  • It may not invent search volumes, keyword difficulty, traffic estimates, backlink counts, domain authority numbers, competitor names or review counts. We did not measure those, so they are not in the report.
  • If a signal is missing, it says "not detected on the pages we fetched," not "your site has none."
  • Anything on your pages that reads like an instruction to the grader is ignored and flagged.
  • Plain words. Banned: leverage, synergy, optimize, robust, seamless, holistic, best-in-class, unlock, elevate, journey.

The report

What you get

One email from info@haymakermktg.com with your score, the first three fixes, and a link to the full report. The report page has a Download PDF button.

00 · Headline

NN/100

Your overall score, a short verdict label, a two-line summary, and four stat tiles built from measured evidence: pages read, tap-to-call links found, forms found, page weight.

01 · Scorecard

Six categories, six bars.

Technical, On-Page, Content, Trust & Proof, Local SEO, Conversion & UX, each scored 0 to 100, plus two or three sentences on where you stand and what the realistic ceiling is.

02 · Week-one triage

Five punches. Most damaging first.

The five highest-leverage fixes, each tagged by severity (CRITICAL, HIGH, QUICK WIN, TRUST, LOCAL) and ending in the concrete thing to do.

03 · Full findings

Three sections, with status tables.

Technical & On-Page. Content & Trust. Conversion & Local. Each with a verdict line, four to six labelled bullets, and a table of six to ten items marked CRIT, HIGH, MED or OK from the evidence.

04 · The plan

Four phases over 12 months.

Triage (week 1), Foundation (weeks 2 to 6), Authority (months 2 to 6), Compete (months 6 to 12), each with five to eight items specific to your site. Then four milestones at 30 days, 90 days, 6 months and 12 months that describe direction, not made-up traffic numbers, and say plainly that they assume the work gets done.

05 · Verdict

A few short lines. Then it ends.

The closing statement, stacked. No upsell page. Your report lives at a private link on haymakermktg.com that search engines are told not to index.

FAQ

Straight answers

Is it really free?

Yes. $0, no card, no call required. The audit costs us money to run, which is why we cap it at five a day and one per site. The catch is that it is a good way to meet contractors and local business owners in San Diego who might hire us later. If you never do, you still keep the report.

What do you do with my email?

We send the report to it, once. Your name, email, the site address and the score are stored as a lead in our database (Supabase) and we get a notification that you ran an audit. No drip campaigns, nothing sold or shared. Your site address and the extracted signals are sent to Anthropic's Claude to write the report. Want it deleted? Email us and it's gone. Details are on our privacy page.

How accurate is it?

Accurate about what it can see, silent about what it can't. It reads your HTML like a search bot, without running JavaScript, so a site that draws everything with scripts will look thinner than it is. It cannot see your rankings, traffic, backlinks or reviews, and it is forbidden to guess at them. Where it is strong is the stuff that decides whether a visitor calls: a phone number above the fold, tap-to-call links, a title tag that says what you do and where, real page content. Treat the score as a second opinion, not a verdict from Google.

What happens after?

You get the report and the week-one list. Fix those five things yourself, hand them to whoever built your site, or book a free 30-minute call and we'll tell you what we'd fix and what it should do for your phone. There is no automated follow-up sequence. If you want to talk, you start it.

Can I get one for a client's site?

Yes. It runs on any public website and nobody at that site is notified. The limits still apply: one audit per site, ever, one per email address, and one per internet connection per week. If you are a designer or agency with a few clients, email us instead of burning through the daily five.

Want it fixed, not just graded?

One 30-minute call. No pitch deck, no six-week discovery. New shop. No fake reviews.
